Furniture and Property Art

We transform salvaged material into functional art such as benches, raised beds, and planters.

While I’ve always been drawn to nature and growing plants and flowers from seed, my passion for gardening, arboriculture, and woodworking took hold during the tail end of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In 2021, I assembled a group of neighbors with the tools and knowledge to mill a majestic Black Walnut tree that was leaning over Eli Whitney's historic 1880s home in Hamden, CT. I was hooked by the teamwork required to mill it with an Alaskan chainsaw mill and the patience required to dry the slabs outdoors. I enrolled in an Arboriculture 101 course at the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station to be able to identify hardwoods to scavenge and mill. There are a limited number of benches available.
